Pumpkin season is here again, and everyone who loves pumpkin spice lattes and donuts have one thing on their minds: Pumpkin bread! While pre-packaged pumpkin bread can be delicious, nothing compares to homemade pumpkin bread with the added bonus of including your favorite spices. You can add chocolate chips, nuts, or even glaze it if you want but this bread is delicious as is. Get ready for the best pumpkin bread you’ve ever tasted!

 

Ingredients

2 cups of flour

1teaspoon of salt

½ teaspoon of baking soda

1 teaspoon of baking powder

2 teaspoons of a pumpkin spice blend

1 cup of butter or 1 1/2 sticks of butter

1 ½ cups of sugar

2 large eggs

1 can of pumpkin puree

1 tablespoon of vanilla

 

 

Directions

1.   Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. (Might have to adjust based on altitude)

2.   In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until well combined; set aside.

3. In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the butter and sugar on medium speed until just blended. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until very light and fluffy, (about 3-4 minutes) Beat in the pumpkin. 

4.  Add the flour mixture and mix on low speed until well combined.

5.   Pour batter in 2 greased loaf pans and place on the middle rack of the oven.

6.   Turn the batter into the prepared pans, dividing evenly, and bake for up to 1 hour and 15 minutes, or test by inserting a toothpick into the center comes out clean. Let the loaves cool in the pans for about 10 minutes. Please cool completely before cutting.

 7. This pumpkin bread can be frozen, wrapped in foil or plastic wrap, for up to one month.
