Maple honey biscuits

Biscuits are one of the few food items that are good for breakfast lunch or dinner. You can eat them with chicken, sausage, eggs, honey or even jam. Here is my favorite biscuit recipe. It has just the right amount of sweetness that will blow your mind!

Ingredients:

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces

- 1/4 cup honey

- 1/4 cup maple syrup

- 3/4 cup buttermilk

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to ensure all the dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

3. Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey, maple syrup, and buttermilk.

5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.  Stir until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix; the dough should be slightly sticky.

6. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface.  Gently knead it a few times, then pat it down to about 1/2-inch thickness.

7. Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits.  Place the biscuits on cast iron skillet, making sure they are touching each other.

8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.

9. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.

10. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious honey and maple syrup biscuits!

Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey and maple syrup according to your preference. Enjoy your homemade biscuits!
